Clean Sweep !!
The club was in high spirits on Sunday
evening following a clean sweep with all three
of the Sunday teams winning. The Firsts
and Seconds defeated Taverners whilst, thanks to some
determined batting by Derek Goodman and
Marek Wajzer, the Casuals beat Abberley with
just 6 balls of their innings remaining.
Cricket’s great when you win !!!
Match reports will follow shortly.
What a match it was ..!!!!
The Green 268
Belbroughton………. Yes also 268
Cyril – 132
Patrick Jelley .. wicket off the last ball to save the draw.
I told you to be there.. you should have been there.

It’a another beautiful day and cricket is calling!
Today we have the 2nds at The Green welcoming Enville whilst

Are aliens taking
over The Green !!!
Well done
everyone involved in the 15 over “slog” against Taverners on Monday which resulted
in a highly satisfactory victory for The Green. The match is
REPEATED on Thursday ( 20th May ) at The Green and we’d love to
see as many Supporters as
possible again.
Suggested answers/questions for Brain Teaser Time are
coming in.
No… the question’s not “what are
Letitia The Streaker’s Vital Statistics”
Quote of the
weekend from Singles game at Newland.
(Steve Metcalfe and Phil Spencer putting on 70 in 5 overs,
Steve Freeman umpiring, everyone else looking for balls)
Metty: “ Sam my hamstring is feeling tight”
Sam: “Don’t worry Metty I won’t
ask you to bowl and Engine won’t ask you to run!”
GREAT FUN !!
Great entertainment at The Green when we beat Kidderminster
Victoria off the last
ball of the match. Needing 30 runs to win off 3 overs we got
‘em.
Well batted Jonno – ( must have been the vision of impending
transfer to the Casuals ).
Shot of the match was Tim’s six into the old skittle alley!
Marek have I spelled ALLEY correctly?
Don’t miss the full match report !
BRAIN TEASER TIME
Question 1.
If the answer is
6.6.6.2.4.4 then what’s the question ?
Clue.. it occurred in the Sunday seconds’ match against
Kidderminster Victoria.
Answers, or should that be questions, by email please to the usual address.
Ps…. Richard W Brown
and members of his fan club may not enter the competition !
Question 2.
Complete the sequence
3,4,5, , Oh sorry, that’s not
the question, that’s how many
runs the seconds were chasing at Kiddy !!
Change of name
Following a re-think by the committee over the new colour
scheme for the main bar area,
we will in future be using the name Barnards Beige
Cricket Club.
Steve Metcalfe has kindly agreed to have all of the kit
changed. The gas central-heating
patio heaters which were against the patio wall have had
to be removed as people kept
tripping over the pipes.
COLTS – A word of advice.
Don’t wear boxer-shorts to nets sessions.
The photos of Letitia from Newland have arrived. Check
back later.
Oops !!!!!! You can’t play the same shot to every ball
Jono!!
The profiles are rolling in thick and fast !! Some surprising
submissions !!!
Jeremy
wanted player profiles so we got ‘em !!!
Green's junior nets for 7-13 year olds are being held on Wednesdays,
6.30pm till 8pm, and will go on through till late July.
